Description

In 1977, Ida Applebroog distributed her first series of books through the mail. Since then, her repetitious scenes of daily life have broadened in scope and intensified in content. Her new paintings occupy a deeply permeated panoramic space in which potential paranoia and the absurd co-exist. The work becomes part of a dense, nearly opaque text with its own often contradictory realities.
