He was trained as an architect but doesn’t build buildings, preferring instead to make installations, sculpture, and two-dimensional work that explores the physical and human nature of architecture. At the launch of his recent book “Absurd Thinking: Between Art and Design,” published by Lars Müller, at the Museum of Modern Art, Sean Anderson, Associate Curator of Architecture and Design, commented on the open-ended nature of Wexler’s process—another way of noting how difficult Wexler’s work is to pin down.
