artist Henri Van Herwegen, who was better known as [Panamarenko](https://www.artnews.com/t/panamarenko/), has died at age 79 after a sudden illness, according to the *Brussels Times*, which first [reported](https://www.brusselstimes.com/all-news/art-culture/83970/artist-known-as-panamarenko-dies-aged-79/) the news.
