To the untrained eye, the color black just kind of exists
To the untrained eye, the color black just kind of exists. To the expert design eye, however, black means countless paint swatches, each with a slightly different moody effect. Recently, some of the brightest engineering minds have embarked on a quest to find out: How black can the color black get? Though driven by science, the question may feel familiar to the color-obsessed members of the interiors world—and is one that may inform design palettes of the (distant) future.
