This career-spanning exhibition, aptly titled “Force of Nature,” emphasizes the indelible mark on feminist art left by this American artist, who died in 1993, at the age of fifty-two. Wilke played bait and switch with the male gaze, using her naked body as a muse in performances and photographs.
