We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Ida Applebroog and grieve the loss of a friend and collaborator with great and unique talent. Her work was prominently featured in twelve solo exhibitions at RFFA and also in twelve group exhibitions. We honor her legacy, especially the many art masterpieces she created using carefully sourced images rendered in an “instant coffee” drawing style. Conceptually open-ended in meaning, her works enable the viewer to insert their own interpretation. The title of her first booklet from 1977 speaks volumes: “I Can Do Anything.” We will miss her.
