Description

An exhibition of new works by Edwin Schlossberg entitled FIGURE: GROUND will open on May 11th at the Ronald Feldman Gallery. The exhibition consists of 42 works created over the last two years.The new works take two forms: a series of poems made into brass stencils and drawings using the words from the stencils. The works explore the tension between words and their context. PLUS: These earlier works were selected from the past six exhibitions that the artist has had at the Feldman Gallery starting in 1980 and going through the last exhibit in 1998. All the works are poems that explore the relationships within the medium on which they are presented.
