Description

An exhibition of works by Edwin Schlossberg entitled Gravity Assumes Disassociation will open on January 11th at the Ronald Feldman Gallery. The exhibition consists of seventeen drawings created in 2002 and ten pieces created in 1977. The earlier works were the stimulus for the current pieces.The drawings are done with pencil, crayon, and ink on sheets of translucent vellum. By presenting levels of meaning in the layers of the drawings and size relationship and color of the words, the works explore the relationship between symbolic ideas and their physical embodiment.
